Data Destruction & Hardware Recycling

Certified data destruction and hardware recycling services including drive shredding, degaussing, cryptographic erasure, and server dismantling.

Data Destruction Drive Shredding Hardware Recycling

Deleted files are recoverable. Formatted drives still hold data. The only way to guarantee data cannot be retrieved is physical destruction or verified sanitization that meets recognized standards. DataTech Logistics provides certified destruction services for drives, storage media, and complete server hardware—with documentation that proves the data is gone.

Data Destruction Methods

Not every situation calls for the same approach. We match the destruction method to your security requirements, media type, and operational constraints.

Physical Shredding reduces drives to fragments smaller than a fingernail. This is the most secure option and the only method that works equally well on HDDs, SSDs, and flash media. Nothing survives the shredder.

Degaussing uses powerful magnetic fields to scramble data on traditional hard drives. Fast and effective for HDDs, but magnetic fields have no effect on solid-state storage. We use degaussing as a pre-shred step for high-security HDD destruction.

Cryptographic Erasure destroys the encryption keys that protect self-encrypting drives. The data remains on the platters, but without the keys, it’s mathematically unrecoverable. This method is fast and leaves hardware intact for remarketing—but only works on properly configured SEDs.

Software Wiping overwrites every sector with randomized data patterns. Our processes meet NIST 800-88 standards and produce verification reports showing the wipe completed successfully. This preserves hardware value while ensuring data sanitization.

Server & Hardware Destruction

When the hardware itself needs to go, we handle complete server destruction with the same rigor we apply to drives.

Full server shredding reduces entire systems to raw material. For situations requiring selective destruction, we dismantle servers and destroy specific components—motherboards, memory modules, processors—while separating recyclable metals and plastics for responsible disposal.

You decide what gets destroyed and what gets recycled. We execute the plan and document every step.

Key features

01

Drive & Media Destruction

Multiple destruction methods matched to your security requirements: physical shredding, degaussing for HDDs, cryptographic erasure, and NIST 800-88 compliant software wiping with certificates of destruction.

02

Server & Hardware Destruction

Full server shredding or selective dismantling with component-level destruction of motherboards, RAM, and CPUs when required. We separate recyclable materials from items requiring complete destruction.

03

Certificates & Documentation

Serial-number-level documentation for every destroyed asset, including destruction method, date, witness verification, and certificate of destruction for your records and audit requirements.

Our process

01

Discovery & Planning

Site surveys, dependency mapping, risk assessment, and detailed runbook creation tailored to your environment.

02

Execution

Skilled technicians perform the physical work with real-time project management oversight and quality assurance.

03

Validation & Handoff

Post-completion testing, documentation, and stabilization support to confirm everything is operational.
